Discussing with Bing chat AI

Google Bard is not open to public yet, but Bing has its chat enabled to public (after registering to a waiting list)

Here are some of our conversation bits:

Straight to the point, asking Bing how it compares to chatgpt (chat.openai.com) the current leader in the field of AI chat.

First bing is showing what he is doing in the background, which is good, it also is showing that its purpose is to perform internet searches, and will provide links (hyperlinks inside its response)

My second question was about google bard (the competition) and chat bing responded that it is open to the public (which is not true)

As a rule of thumb, it is good policy to never trust an AI response without checking.

Lastly I was badly surprised that there was a limit in the conversation, maybe to prevent people to corrupt the AI by training it the wrong way?

The conclusion is that, it feels like the future of internet searches is going to be AI
It feels right to discuss with a search engine this way, because we (human) have been acquiring information this way since the dawn of time.
No doubt, Google Bard is going to be doing more or less the same, and we will be able to get assistants in the near future, knowing everything about us...

This could be a good thing, unless of course ... this falls into the wrong hands, and then it is used by a dystopian government, but let's not think about that...

Twitter Saga continue

Elon twitter saga as of November, 18 2022

In a nutshell: One of the world's richest men asking his staff to work unpaid overtime (and at high stress level) so he can recoup some of the billions he lost, when he overpaid for the company. Elon Musk is not an idiot, he is just a complete narcissist.

Can you imagine how many staff were just slacking off at work over the last couple weeks?

Elon has slashed the workforce by 50% and the rest would do overwork to compensate?

For Elon this is a cultural backslash, because Engineers who went to work at Tesla and SpaceX (even though they are paid below market rate) were true believers.

Their idea was to work for a pioneer company with futuristic products, top notch technologies ... and these engineers worshiped Elon.

For Twitter this is another story entirely, the company has a different culture to begin with, and they were acquired ...

and when you take over a different company full of people who are not already part of the personality cult of Mister Musk, then the clash was inevitable.

Now I am sure Musk is very surprised that after he laid off half the workforce, fired people who criticized or corrected him, cut all remote work, told people they must work long and hard hours (and weekends), and gave out tons of mixed messaging as to who would actually have a job when all was said and done, some employees might not actually want to stay.

The real question is, when will Twitter implode completely, and which tech giant is going to swoop in, buy what's left, and combine Twitter with their own offerings? Google? Microsoft? Apple?

Some would like to see Elon acquire Facebook, or Instagram just to see these other 2 platforms implodes ...

but that is just mean.

Blogger is kind of dead

Try googling content from blogger.com or blogspot.com

using a syntax like 'keyword -site:blogspot.com' and see what is coming up

Remember google wave, google plus ...

Feels like blogger is about to go down - that is just a feeling, but let's just say

that most of the blogger.com content is either spam, or plain crap

Building an audience with Instagram

Success does not come overnight on Instagram

there are no miracle secrets that will propulse you to the top of the influencers sphere

but there are ways to climb the top - these are not secret, but discipline

First you need to find your niche (comics, cyber, cosplay, watercolor, acrylics, modeling, photography, landscape, aquatics, sea landscape, mountain, sports, bodybuilding, cosmetics and so on) and once you're set - keep that direction and post good content.

What will make your instagram account pop in the middle of all these daily posts - (there are close to 100 million photos and videos shared on Instagram each day)

The biggest tip would be to post daily, and post frequently - one post each day and all days around 2pm GMT

Then tag people you know - then tag influencers, if they are nice, they will post your photo in their story - that will help immensely

Then comment in the other photos of the people in the same niche, industry where you are working

After that, tweak your content a bit - according to the reaction of the public

Check your statistics, engage with the commenters, engage via direct messages (but do not harass anyone).

Be nice, kind and post good content daily - just one post

Avoid spamming, posting like 10 photos in a row and then nothing for a week - that won't work.

Follow closely trends, and the news - see what hashtag is trending, and try to be in the pioneers wave - once the trend is dying, find a new trend.

Collaborate as much as possible in cool projects - there are some hashtags that will open 'challenges' daily for fun content - one of them is #dtiys (draw it your style) if you are a graphic artist, this might help you get new viewers.

A social media that pays you : tsu.co

Talk about coincidence just a few days after I posted "Why an alternative to facebook is needed" mentioning ello.ch as the hot new facebook alternative... tsu.co was launched.

tsu.co

As ello.co motto was about counteracting facebook tendency to sell his users information to marketers - tsu.co goes for the revenue aspect.
Basically tsu.co rises the question to facebook users who are "content creators" (such as artists and celebrities) and ask them this simple question :
"How much money do you directly make by having x followers on your facebook page?"
Because the answer is most certainly : none

You can be a cosplayer like Jessica Nigri and have made nearly 3 Millions Followers and receive nothing from facebook advertising money.

Which is to be fair, a bit like working in an office where all your visitors are buying stuffs from your landlord while they are in the building and you don't make any money (you just don't pay rent).
Or like a radio station that would use many songs and never give any money back to the song artists...

tsu.co is here to mend a fundamental issue on the internet related to content creator and their lack of revenue, they want to distribute some money back to them : the "content creator" - because let's face it, we don't go to facebook to look at an empty website with ads, we are going for the posts of people we follow, or our friend's timeline and to post cool links.

Some facts

Basically what you are doing on facebook, you can do on tsu.co (except they don't have an IRC, or groups, or pages, just tags, and messages) ; the big change is that tsu.co pays you back (and they provide some analytics for the visits).

Best of 2 worlds

Now the smart way to play the social media game is to setup your tsu.co account so it will be used as a proxy to post on facebook - and your twitter account.

The feeling you will have after a while browsing tsu.co is like walking through a shopping mall with people you don't really know. Many people are there to make money, and will send you friend requests, but they mean nothing, the only thing they want is a follow-back, visit their profile and that you will share their posts (because that's more or less how they make money).

Searching on tsu.co sucks, you are not supposed to look back for an old post, but to keep posting and posting (until you have filled your quotas).
