Generating images with Krea.ai

KREA is a website with a creative assistant and with it you can create text-to-images, alter them in a variety of ways and arrange them in a canvas.

There are basically two different way to use Krea, through the 'on the fly generation' (this is extremely disorienting as an image is automatically generated as you type!)

Or through 'Studio Projects' which is a bit messy.

These below are my first impressions on the interface, I was really impressed by the real time rendering of the image.

On the right side, you can switch to different style (default, portrait, cgi, cartoon, ...) this is just for the quick changes. A download button is here as well, but the export will be in low-resolution.

To access the finalized image, you are invited to click on rendering, then the image/enhancer/ page will open and from there the high resolution image will be tweaked and then exported.

Using the same image (as always), I was pretty happy with the result

Krea is fun because of the real-time feature, but it does not offer a large checkpoint selection, Loras etc ... It is a perfect fit for people discovering AI art, and who wants to see it working fast.

The free plan offer 3mn of runtime, but that is enough to play with Krea and generate 10 to 15 images.

Cosplay rising to new heights

Cosplay is now for the pros

In the past during comics convention, a new trend was forming with fans making amateurish appearance  in outfit hand-made and this was to the delight of the artists and visitors.

But today this Art is actually at a stage where it surpasses the simple portraying of comics book or movie star characters. With amazing skills, crafts, excellent photographs, the cosplayers are now entering a new level where they are “becoming” the characters. The illusion is complete.

And their level of mastery is even pushing them into making variations or even upgrading the current character's outfit to new level of awesomeness.

Rising stars

On this blog Crystal Graziano  an outstanding cosplayer has been praised a couple of times - Since she has launched a video series ("Project Cosplay") on how she makes her mind blowing outfit.

Nadya Sonika - Fan art

And it was mentioned that Crystal Graziano is among the top brass of the North American cosplay - now there is a rising cosplay star in Mexico - she has the class, beauty and style making her the match to this new trend of cosplayers that are pushing the limits in designing outfits and cosplay.

Her name is  Nadya Sonika - this post is an homage to her magnificent creations.
She has fan herself (and like many cosplayers today artist are drawing her and sending "fan art").

Which is quite a prowess, since cosplay (short for "costume play") is a type of performance art in which participants wear costumes and accessories to represent a specific character, and then now cosplayers themselves can have fan of their own.

Are we going to see a new type of fans cosplaying  Bellechere, Jessica Nigri, Katybear, Megan Marie, Queen Riot, Crystal Graziano etc ... ?


Or  movie with actual mainstream actress portraying cosplayers ? Well, that would be fun and I'll watch that for sure.

Public domain hero spotlight : Octobriana

Who is Octobriana ?

Started as a twisted Czech mystification (with Peter Sadeky), reborn as a UK sensation (linked with David Bowie), labelled as spy, rebellious soul, She-devil ... this is Octobriana!

Octobriana is public domain, which means she's copyright free and everyone can create his own version.
And indeed, you can see Octobriana in all shapes and forms (as adult comic, anime, manga, cartoon, pixel-art, in movies, music clip, video game (or maybe not), ... ) beware though because many of her reinvention should be tagged NSFW.



Octobriana is a good starting point for comic artists in lack of inspiration for their comics, very much like Jenny Everywhere ; she seems to be unfortunately confined for the underground borderline adult comics - not for the mainstream.

Crystal : super sew it!

Remember my last post "Selvaria : sew it!" : My only regret is that Crystal doesn't have created a youtube account (yet).

Well, here it goes :

The costumes are spectacular, kudos for "Firefall" - the game looks a bit like Starcraft "Ghost" ...  So happy, it's really good and Crystal is going stronger and stronger, and this is awesome!

Whatever cosplay she wears, she is always stellar in it.


Now, I only wish she would star in a movie ?!
I wouldn't mind seeing her playing "Black widow"
But what are the odds of that ...

Selvaria : sew it!

Selvaria from Valkyria Chronicles was once featured on this blog with the post on the Cerberus Project figurine.

Her full name is : Selvaria Bles and she is a 22 year old Brigadier General War Witch and one of the main antagonists in Valkyria Chronicles & Valkyria Chronicles 3.

This splendid character with silver hair had me stumble upon one of the most breathtaking cosplayer : Crystal Graziano - She really does Selvaria justice.

But then I found her various cosplay version of Cammy and then I really thought Crystal deserved to be featured in the blog. There was too many "serendipity".

My only regret is that Crystal doesn't have created a youtube account (yet).

But I won't despair : her popularity is going strong by the days, and her last shoot as "Black Widow" with the "Big white Bazooka" is a must-see.

How to put Gif on fire (with Cammy and Morrigan)

From two previous articles: "Street Fighting with Gimp" and "cammy is back" ; Cammy White (as shadowloo "killer bee") was featured to show Gimp's ability to generate animated Gifs.

But to be honest, since there was no background, the gif files were a bit boring - now browsing through deviantart I found this gem - that script creates an animated fire effect ; just what we need to add some magic to a good fight.

And here's the result ... pure delight!

There seems to be an infallible recipe for success if you're lucky enough to be a "blond girl" - it has been scientifically proven that Youtube is the best platform for your success.
