Red Alert was a quite addictive game offered as a free download from EA website (back in October 2008) ; to work it required to burn 2 CDs (one for each side) and for linux or mac user would require a DOS emulation (Dosbox or Boxer for Mac) .... after all these efforts the game would then bring you back in a alternate / parallel / temporal war-torn universe were Allies and Soviets Comrades are in constant fighting over world domination.
But rejoice people, because thanks to a small team developing OpenRA in their free time
you just need a 3Mb file to play (no more CDs, no more Dos Emulation) --
